The Draws for European Youth Championships 2016 and Eurobasket 2017 qualifiers will be held on Friday, 22nd January 2016, in Munich, Germany.
President of the Kosovo Basketball Federation, Erolld Belegu and Secretary General, Leart Hoxha will attend the Draw since for the first time in history the “A” National Team of Kosovo will be part of these qualifications.
Not only that the opponents of the “A” NT of Kosovo will be reveled in these qualifications, but in the same time will take place the draw for all of the European Championship leagues.
In 2016, KBF will not only compete with the “A” NT in the European Championship but also with 5 NT’s of youth categories: Kosovo U16 Division C (men), Kosovo U18 Division B (men), Kosovo U20 Division B (men), Kosovo U16 Division C (women) and Kosovo U18 Division C (women).
It should be noted that KBF became a member of FIBA in March, 2015 and in July 2015 has competed with two NT’s in the European Championship. Kosovo U16 competed in the European Championship Division C, where they were named runner-up, whereas Kosovo U20 has competed in the European Championship Division B, where they were ranked in the 14th place.
