Sigal Prishitna defended the champion title despite their loss to Mornar 75:68 (23:15, 12:24, 22:8, 18:21), on Wednesday night, in Tivar, Montenegro. The first duel ended with the result 82:68. The 14 point advantage that was created in the first game has helped Prishtina win the trophy of the Balkan League for the second consecutive year.

One of the best players to have contributed to this success, Dardan Berisha is very happy that for the second consecutive year he contributed in completed the mission of the team from the capital city.

“We all know that defending the title is way harder than winning it for the first time, and for that reason I am very happy that we managed to achieve the goal that we set in the beginning of the season.”

Prishtina’s number 11 spoke further on the sacrifices, great work and the difficulties that his team faced to achieve this success, which so far is the biggest one for this season. A few months ago, Prishtina won the trophy of IPKO Cup of Kosovo, and this week they will begin their war for the title, in the Kosovo Superleague playoffs.

“Everyone in the team has sacrificed a lot; we worked hard and together managed to overcome every obstacle.  This was best proven this year, now that we won IPKO Cup of Kosovo, defended our title in the Balkan League, and now we tend to do the same in the Kosovo Superleague. We have very little time to rest, since the playoffs will start very soon.”
