Slovenian veteran, Primozh Brezec, is leading AEK Larnaca this season.
Sigal Prishtina will host AEK Larnaca on Tuesday; at 19:00h, in the game where it will be decided which of these teams will qualify for the second phase of FIBA Europe Cup.
If AEK win, they will take second place in Group K (behind Energia Targu-Jiu) and advance to the Round of 32.
If Prishtina win and Astana lose to Energia in the other game in the group, then Prishtina will make further history by becoming the first ever team from Kosovo to reach the last-32 phase of a European competition.
Brezec still takes basketball so seriously indeed that he is the fifth-leading scorer in the FIBA Europe Cup, averaging 19.8 points and 7.6 rebounds after the first five games of the Regular Season.
On February, Brezec signed with AEK after staying home for seven months.
“We have a great chance to go to the next round and we should not let it slip, I think we deserve it. Against Prishtina at home (on Game Day 3 AEK won 101-84) we were very intense on defence and obviously the coaching change was something of a shock therapy for the team. But we have done nothing yet, we have to go there and win" said Brezec.
