Sigal Prishtina made a big step towards the finals of the Sigal Uniqa Balkan League.
On Wednesday night, the reigning champion of BIBL defeated Beroe 89:75, in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.
Next week, Bulgarians will need a miracle to happen in Prishtina to continue their fight for the trophy.
Prishtina led most of the time, but the difference reached in the last two quarters when they used their experience and dominated the game.
Antonis Constantinides, head coach of KB Sigal Prishtina: "First I want to congratulate the home team and my friend Lubo Minchev. Beroe is playing good - both in defense and offense. The team deserves congratulations for what they did until now. As for the game - we have more experience in such matches, and we were more focused in both phases of the game. We controlled the game except for a few minutes early in the second quarter. However there is still one more game next week. We′ll try to win it. From January we have 23 wins in 23 games. We′ll try to keep it that way."
It should be noted that a few days ago in the semifinals game between Kozuv and Mornar, the victory belonged to the team from Gevgelija Macedonia 86:71.
The return games will take place next week in Prishtina and Tivar.
