Kosovo’s number one basketball player, Dardan Berisha has signed a three year contract with one of the biggest European team, Cibona from Zagreb.
“Dardan Berisha, 27 years old, 1.91 cm tall, starting from today is officially the newest player of Cibona. Berisha played for Sigal Prishtina, winner of the Balkan League, where Dardan was the top scorer, with an average of 24 points per game”, stated in the official announcement of Cibona.
Berisha will join the Croatian team after the European Championship.
“I am very happy for this. This was my dream for a long time now” said Berisha, who was transferred to the team of his childhood idol, Drazen Petrovic.
Berisha, during his two seasons in Sigal Prishtina has won two Super Cups of Kosovo, Kosovo Cup, 2 Championships and the Balkan League (BIBL).
Last year, Berisha was announced MVP of Kosovo, whereas this year he was announced MVP of the Balkan League.
Berisha was also invited to be part of the NT of Poland in Eurobasket 2015, which will be held from 5 until 20 September in four states: Croatia, France, Germany and Lithuania.
