Secretary General of the Basketball Federation of Kosovo, Elvira Dushku, took part in the meeting of the FIBA Europe Youth Commission.
This meeting was supposed to be held in Munich, but due to the pandemic COVID-19 it was canceled, and in this way, FIBA Europe organized a video conference where participants were all members of this Commission, as well as FIBA Europe President Turgay Demirel and FIBA Europe Executive Director Kamil Novak.
This Commission is one of the most important in FIBA Europe, and it meets every three months to discuss the development of basketball among youth generations.
Elvira Dushku, Secretary General of KBF:
“At this meeting, we were informed by FIBA Europe's President, Turgay Demirel, that this institution is working hard to bring basketball back to the court when the pandemic is over. Mr. Demirel also promised that FIBA Europe will stay close to the National Federations to help them recover after the end of the pandemic.
We discussed the cancellations of the FIBA European Championships as well, and we as a Commission strongly support this decision of the FIBA Europe Board.
In conclusion, the meeting was quite fruitful and now it remains for us to prepare for the next one which is expected to be held in October.”
