Kosovo Basketball Federation along with TEB bank held a ceremony where they delivered sports apparel for youth categories.
In 2014/15 season, in four different age groups are competing over 50 teams of youth categories, a record number which is mainly achieved thanks to the sponsorship of TEB bank for these leagues.
At the ceremony, President of Kosovo Basketball Federation, Mr. Erolld Belegu stated: Last year we had approximately 30 teams of youth categories, some of them were thinking of leaving the competition due to a financial difficulty. With the arrival of TEB Bank as the sponsor of youth categories, we now have over 50 teams in youth categories and a higher competition quality.
Youth categories will continue to be in our focus, especially now that we are waiting to get a membership in FIBA and the intensification of work with youth NT.
For us it is very encouraging that TEB wants to continue to support young basketball players in Kosovo and we celebrate the idea of donating sports uniforms, which was TEB’s idea and proof that this company cares about youth basketball in Kosovo.
Representative of TEB Bank, Mr. Ayhan Albeyoglu,described the cooperation with KBF as very sucessful and added: One of the aspects that gives us most joy in this sponsorship program is exactly the focus on youth basketball. We believe that through this sponsorship program we will help create not only quality basketball players, but also potential community leaders in the future. As I said at the signing of this agreement, our investment in youth leagues is investment in todays youth and helps the development of basketball in Kosovo. I am here to confirm our continued support for youth basketball in Kosovo also for the year 2015-16. For our bank, it's more than just sponsoring basketball. While waiting for the involvement in FIBA and the functioning of Kosovo National Team of youth categories, KBF will continue to pay even more attention to the development of youth categories. The progress of youth leagues is a very important segment of our work.
