Kosovo National Team U20 has arrived in Greece, where they will participate in the European Championship U20, Division B, which will take place in Chalkida, from tomorrow until 24 July. The team held their first practice, and tomorrow at 13:15h they will play their first game against Holland. Besides Holland, Kosovo will also play against Greece, Great Britain, Albania and Ireland.
Selector Ilir Selmani has traveled to Greece with these players: Rinor Ahmeti, Rinor Peci, Musab Mala, Egzon Kuçi, Burim Zekiqi, Blendi Kadusha, Mërgim Jakupi, Andi Shehu, Genc Gashi, Arion Balluku, Rinor Pllana and Ermir Gashi.
This year for the first time, 25 teams will participate in the European Championship U20, Division B, since 7 teams dropped from Division A as a result of the new system of the FIBA Europe competition, which allows only 16 teams to compete in Division A.
Last year, Kosovo was ranked 14th in this championship, out of 18 participating teams.
