Peja defeated Golden Eagle Ylli 97:77 (32:20, 16:20, 21:20, 28:17), today in “Karagaci” hall. The game belonged to Round 8 of Kosovo Superleague.
The basketball players from Peja were the ones who dictated with the game tempo from the beginning until the end.
Peja’s top scorers were Lamarcus A Reed with 33 points, Alban Veseli with 17 and Mirza Ahmetbasic with 13. For Golden Eagle Ylli, Malcolm Canada scored 25 points, Urim Zenelaj added 22 and Altin Morina 20.
Meanwhile, Trepca defeated Vllaznimi 98:65 (27:18, 18:16, 28:13, 25:18), in “Shani Nushi” hall, in Gjakova. As expected, the team from Mitrovica had no problems defeating Vllaznimi.
The top scorer from Trepca was Samir Zekiqi with 19 points, whereas for Vllaznimi, Beq Kovaqi scored 15 points.
It should be noted that the Round 8 derby of the Kosovo Superleague will take place on Sunday in the capital city, between Sigal Prishtina and Bashkimi. This game will take place at the Youth and Sports Center, in Prishtina, at 19:00h.
In their first game, in the beginning of the season, Bashkimi defeated Sigal Prishtina, but since then both teams made changes in their team roster, so this duel is expected to be more interesting and with a great rivalry.
