Round XVI was supposed to give strong and interesting basketball but instead it gave predictable endings and home team victories.
In derby, Sigal Prishtina had no problems with Peja, which without Samir Shaptahoviq, Gerti Shima and Jaleel Nelson whose transfer procedure was not finalized, could not face with dignity the reigning champion of Kosovo.
Sigal Prishtina won 103:76 and is now leading on the board.
The situation regarding the positions on the board was clarified also for other teams. Trepca, with great difficulties and with only national players has won the second game in a row. Their direct competition for a spot in the Play-Offs is Golden Eagle Ylli.
In one of the most interesting games of this round, Trepca has managed to defeat Vellaznimi, in Drenas. The team from Gjakova was leading 35:27 in the first half of the game but the injury of Marijo Hajdic and the stronger game of the team from Mitrovica in the second half made it possible for Trepca to win 72:62.
Golden Eagle Ylli played the first two games before its fans and with two wins in a row is now placed in the fifth place and is going after the fourth place.
Kastrioti was a guest in Suhareka and they lost 78:94. Golden Eagle Ylli’s victory was never in jeopardy since the team was leading from the beginning of the game.
As expected, Kosova e Re Bashkimi has defeated Besa. The team from Prizren was led by Edin Kerveshi.
Kosova e Re Bashkimi won 116:79, in a game where they had superiority and dominated the whole time.
Kosova e Re Bashkimi is in the third place, whereas Besa remains in the seventh place.
