Peja’s last chance

  • Peja’s last chance
15 March 2016

On Wednesday, Peja will host Sigal Prishtina in round 6 of Balkan League, in “Karagaci” hall, at 19:30.

Sigal Prishtina already secured their place in the semifinals, whereas Peja is fighting with Levski 2014 and Kozuv for a spot in BIBL’s TOP 4.

For this reason this game is vital for Peja, who has to defeat Sigal Prishtina, and also hope that Levski will defeat Kozuv, in order for them to go through to the semifinals.

Alban Veseli, basketball player from BC Peja: “It is our last chance to qualify for the semifinals. It won’t be easy at all, considering the injuries and the absence of the players. However, we will give our best and hope for a positive result.”

Antonis Constantinides, head coach of Sigal Prishtina: “This is a very difficult game. Very difficult, but I believe that we’ll win. We want to win every game, so it won’t be any different this time, despite the fact that we already secured the first place in Group D and are qualified to the semifinals. We want to keep our record with 0 losses in 2016”.

It should be noted that Drilon Hajrizi won’t be playing in this game, after his disagreement with Coach Branimir Pavic during the game with Kozuv.  Hajrizi’s absence will be a big handicap for Peja, since until now he was the leader of the team.
