U14 Camp

  • U14 Camp
1 August 2016

On Monday began the U14 Youth Camp organized by the Kosovo Basketball Federation and with the support of FIBA and FIBA Europe, MCYS and Raiffeisen Bank.

The camp is being held at the Student Center in Prishtina, whereas the practices are taking place at the “1 Tetori” hall and at the gym of the Faculty of Sport Sciences and will end on August 5th.

60 kids from throughout Kosovo are participating in the camp.

The camp will be led by the coordinator of youth categories in KBF, Coach Chris Dial, with the assist of 12 local coaches.

“This camp will not only serve to young basketball players but also to the coaches that are working in the camp. The experience that they’ll gain from working here they can carry to the clubs or basketball schools where they work. The federation is doing a great job in the development of youth categories, who in a near future are going to be part of the National Team of Kosovo”, said Chris Dial, coordinator of the camp.

In this camp, 30 basketball players and 6 coaches will be chosen to travel to Bucharest, Romania to participate in the camp that will take place there from August 28th until September 2nd.

It should be noted that this year too, FIBA and FIBA have supported KBF and its work with youth categories, including it in an even bigger camp program, this time with the U14 group-ages. The camp will be led by the Turkish Basketball Federation, and its partners will be Kosovo, Macedonia, Romania and Bulgaria.
