The first selection camp for girls (U14, U16 and U18), took place on Sunday, at the sports gym of the ISP College, in Marigona Residence.
The camp was led by the Coordinator of Youth Categories in KBF, Chris Dial with the assist of local coaches such as Pal Syla, Kimete Haliti, Fidan Shatri and Valbona Bytyqi.
75 girls participated at the camp.
Coordinator Dial selected 25 girls for the U18 age group, whereas another camp will be organized for the U14 and U16 age groups at the end of the month, where a reasonable number of girls will be selected with which the coordinator will work in the upcoming months.
“This is a historical day for women’s basketball of Kosovo, since is the first time in a very long time to organize such camp for young girls and you girls should be very proud, because you are the ones that will represent your country in FIBA competitions. I as a coordinator for youth categories in the KBF am very happy and proud to have started work with girls, since we have been working intensively for months in order for us to start with this program. Now there is only left for us to work together and love basketball” stated Dial. “KBF will organize other camps for those who did not have the chance to show up today” Dial added.
