Two out of four matches of the seventh round of ETC Super League took place in Peja, and neither one was disappointing.
Peja hosted Kosova e Re Bashkimi in what was announced as the derby of the week, which was for the first ten minutes of the game, when the teams scored 52 points in total (26:26).
Afterwards, Peja continued with a very effective offense game, while Kosova e Re Bashkimi was not able to keep up with the opponent and lost for the second time in a row, which is not very common for this team.
At the end Peja won 107:84, showing that they left behind the problems in the offensive phase of the game, meanwhile Kosova e Re Bashkimi started rebuilding the team, announcing transfers of new players.
In the second match, held in Karagac, the other team from Peja, BC Besa won against BC Vellaznimi. These two teams played a few days ago in the IPKO Cup where Besa also won that duel. Vellaznimi had reinforcement in the match, the American player Philip Brooks, who even though was injured, played as much as he could.
Guests were leading in the last quarter of the match and 105 seconds before the end, the game was tied. However, in the crucial moments of the game the hosts were more attentive and even though Vellaznimi had the last action they missed the three-pointer shot and Besa won 67:64.
Golden Eagle Ylli was inspired by the great spectacle with Sigal Prishtina and together with the fans they travelled to Drenas for their duel with Trepca.
Although, the teams were equal for the most part of the game, in the fourth quarter Trepca did not allow any surprises and now holds the third place in the table, after the first cycle of the competition. It can honestly be said that this team got better in all aspects comparing to previous years.
The game between Trepca and Golden Eagle Ylli ended with a result 90:75.
The last game of the seventh round was between Sigal Prishtina and Katrioti. As expected, the reigning champion of Kosovo, before their main game with Kozuv in the Balkan League, scored a convincing victory by not risking anything. The result of this game was 121:76.
