The Basketball Federation of Kosovo (KBF) today officially published the official logo of the U-18 Championship, Division C in Men's Competition, to be held in Pristina from 22 to 29 July 2018.
The idea of the European Championship U-18 logo, Division C, was prepared by the FBK, and was designed by an Italian company, engaged by FIBA.
"The staff of KBF has been working intensively for the preparation of the logo, and after some ideas, we agreed to include in the logo the Goddess on the Fron, symbolizing the city of Pristina, so the place where the Championship is taking place, the logo contains elements of the flag of the Republic of Kosovo and also the basketball. So all these elements are for us very important, so I believe that in the end we managed to design a logo, which will be liked by basketball opinions in our country “ declared for KBF official page, Elvira Dushku, Secretary General.
It should be noted that in addition to the official logo, KBF in cooperation with FIBA has also prepared the organizational chart, namely the Organizing Local Committee of the European Championship U18, nominated by the Secretary General Elvira Dushku. She will have a staff of 15, and about 30 volunteers, who will take care of the courtesy and best organization of the Championship.
"For KBF, organizing such an event is a completely new challenge. After completing the design of the logo and preparing the staff that will work in this championship, we will now deal with the best preparation of gyms, hotel, and the dorm where FIBA senior officials will be staying, as well as participating teams.
Besides these works, we have many other jobs, but we believe that in cooperation with FIBA we will achieve that in Kosovo the organization of the Championship is at the highest possible level.
The important thing is that FIBA is very happy with the KBF, its staff and the work and commitment we are showing about the organization of the Championship. And for us this is an extra motive, and we will be maximally committed to getting everything ready by the start of the competition.
Of course, to achieve all this we need the help of central and local institutions as well as sponsors. We believe that the Municipality of Prishtina and the Ministry of Sports will help us with their opportunities because the interest of all of us is to arrange this event in the best possible way, " added Dushku.
In addition to Kosovo in the European Championship U18, C Division also participates in Cyprus, San Marino, Gibraltar, Moldova, Armenia, Ireland, Malta and Monaco.
