Tonight, the National Team of Kosovo will travel to Estonia to play two friendly games on 5th and 6th August.
This will be the first test for Arben Krasniqi’s selected players, who are in the midst of preparations for Eurobasket 2017 qualifiers.
Upon returning from Tallinn, the National Team will stay for a few days in Prishtina and then travel to Como, Italy, where in six days they will play five friendly matches with teams from American colleges.
In the end, the National Team of Kosovo will travel to Cyprus to play two friendly games, one with Cyprus and the other one with Qatar.
Kosovo will compete in Group E in the Qualifiers for the European Championship, along Slovenia, Ukraine and Bulgaria.
The first qualifying game, our National Team will play as guests in Slovenia.
The selector of the National Team of Kosovo, Arben Krasniqi said that he chose strong opponents for the friendly games because of the fact that the group where out NT will compete in the Qualifiers of the European Championship is very strong.
“We will play against Ukraine, Slovenia and Bulgaria in the Qualifiers for Eurobasket 2017 and all of these teams have great experience in such competitions, and also are very strong teams. This was the reason why we chose to play friendly games with Estonia, Cyprus, Qatar, and also with American Colleges, because that is the only way to find out where we stand in terms of team development.”
