Today, the National Team of Kosovo U16 (women) has traveled to Andorra, where the European Championship, Division C, Group A will take place from 18 until 23 July. Malta and Wales are also part of Group A.
The selector of Kosova U16, Fidan Shatri is very pleased with the work of his team and said that they will try to gain experience in Andorra and represent the new country in the best possible way:
“We’ve been practicing intensively for two months and I believe that we managed to successfully complete our work plan. We are talking about a group of young girls that love basketball and have been given the chance to represent their country. I am very happy with their work. Now we have to play quality basketball in Andorra and win a few games. It would be a great motivation to our young basketball players.”
A few days ago, Kosovo U18 (women) has ended their adventure in the European Championship, Division C, which was taking place in Tbilisi, Georgia, ranked fifth.
Our girls recorded two wins and two losses, and they were the first women’s National Team from Kosovo to compete in FIBA competitions.
