Kosovo has scored a win in the first friendly match with Slovakia from two as it will hold in Bratislava. Kosovo in this match won 69:61, which is considered very important for this stage of preparations.

Our national team had the lead for the majority of the game and managed to finish the first quarter with 18:17, and after 20 minutes the top of Kosovo’s lead was 37:33.

At the beginning of the second half, Kosovo had a crisis in the game and this allowed Slovakia to come out for a few minutes in the lead, but a series of 9:0 records returned the result to the best of Kosovo, which with less oscillation kept until the end, when also won with 8 points of superiority. Fisnik Rugova scored 8 points in the first quarter and ended the match with 14 points in total.

Dardan Berisha finished the game with 18 points and 7 assists was the author of some crucial scores in the fourth quarter, while Erjon Kastrati finished the match with 12 points. Team led by coach Brad Greenberg tomorrow hosts the second match with Slovakia, which starts at 16:30.

Before Slovakia, Kosovo had developed a friendly match with Austria in Kapfenberg, where Austria had won against our national team, although the match was characterized by referral problems that influenced its course and outcome.

Kosovo has two more friendly arrangements with Albania this weekend and then the team will hold a training session in Pristina until the start of the first qualifying matches for the 2019 World Cup that will be held in China.

In pre-qualification, Kosovo is in Macedonia and Estonia, while the first match will be against Macedonia on August 2 in Pristina.
