Technical Coordinator and referee of Kosovo Basketball Federation (KBF), Faton Kurshumlija has attended the FIBA Europe Clinic for National Instructors, which was held on 22/24 May, in Freising, Germany.
This was the first time ever for a referee from Kosovo to participate in such clinic. Kurshumlija is now FIBA Instructor for Kosovo and he is expected to pass on his knowledge to other referees from Kosovo.
Speakers at the FIBA Europe Clinic for National Instructors were: Carl Jungebrand, Ronnie Nunn, Davorin Nakic and Alan Richardson.
The main topics of the clinic were: three person officiating mechanics, communication, group work, sports psychology etc.
“This clinic was a great experience for me as a referee and now I intend to share my knowledge from Freising with my colleagues from Kosovo. In the upcoming week, together with the Referees Association, we plan to organize a seminar, where I will inform my colleagues about everything that I had the chance to hear and learn in this clinic” said Kurshumlija.
