On the beginning of the second edition of the Basketball Champions League, the leaders of this prestigious race are already making the final preparations for the start of the new edition.
This year for the first time, Kosovo will be represented with a team at Basketball Champions League.
It is about Sigal Prishtina, which as a champion in power has won the right to compete in the first qualifying round of this competition.
Sigal Prishtina on 19 and 21 September 2017 will face Tsmoki-Minsk from Belarus.
On September 19th starting from 18:30 at the Palace of Youth and Sports in Prishtina, Sigal Prishtina will play host to Tsmoki-Minsk.
In this match Basketball Champions League manager Dejan Lekic has nominated as technical delegate Faton Kurshumlija, Kosovo national instructors, while justice in this match will be shared by Anastasios Piloidis (Greece), Haris Bijediq (BH) and Marek Kukelçik from the Slovak Republic.
It should be noted that Kurshumlija received this call as a FIBA-licensed observer this summer.
Kurshumlija in 2016 has ended the career of the Kosovo Super League referee and has successfully been licensed for the work of the observer in the training, which was held this summer in Zagreb.
From the 2017-2018 FIBA observer Kurshumlija, together with the trio of Kosovar judges, Xhelal Mumini, Daut Mehmeti and Dardan Maxhuni will be part of delegations to FIBA Europe Cup, Basketball Champions League, Eurolegue Women, EuroCup Women and the League Balkans (BIBL).
It should be noted that Faton Kurshumlija in BFK performs the role of the Competition Commissioner.
