Last week, Bashkimi from Prizren defeated Teodo in Montenegro and kept their hopes up for a place in the semifinals. They need to win two home games, tonight’s game and then the one against Beroe in order to qualify. They need to defeat Mornar by 16 points. The best option is to win both games, afterwards Beroe to defeat Teodo and Mornar to do the same in the final round.
For now, the four teams have a chance to qualify for the semifinals. After Tuesday there will be a clearer picture and we will know which teams have a chance to continue further.
The team from Prizren are ready to defeat Mornar, in the game that will take place on Tuesday, at the “Sezai Surroi” hall, in Prizren, at 19:00h.
In their first duel that took place in Tivar, Mornar defeated Bashkimi 78:63.
Granit Rugova, basketball player from BC Bashkimi said that they are in a very good shape and they are hoping for the next victory, after the one against Teodo (82:76).
“It is true that the game against Mornar can be considered as final and the importance of winning is known. With an eventual win we will be one step closer to the semifinals, but if we lose we will lose the chance to be in BIBL’s Top 4.”
It should be noted that so far only the reigning champion of BIBL, Sigal Prishtina, from Kosovo teams, has secured a place in the semifinals, whereas Peja and Bashkimi are trying their best to go through to the semifinals.
