With the initiative of the former basketball player of BC Universiteti, the golden generation, Shemsije Stublla and the support of the Kosovo Basketball Federation (KBF) on 20.06.2015 (Saturday) starting at 18:00 at the "1 Tetori"hall, in Prishtina, will take place a friendly game between the Veterans of BC Universiteti and Veterans of BC "Kranj" from Kranj, Slovenia.
My biggest wish is that the level of the women’s basketball in Kosovo to be the same as it was when I was a basketball player of the BC Universiteti and the Kosovo society did not hesitate to support us. Even though the things have changed now and we should be aware of that, through this game we want to deliver a message that sport doesn’t recognize age and that the youth should practice sport as much as they can, because that’s the only way to have a healthy youth”, said Shemsije Stublla, who lives in Slovenia.
BC Universiteti has been and still is the strongest team in Women’s League of Kosovo. Since 2007, the club merged with BC Sigal Prishtina, whose name holds today. Since 1999, it has won 9 Championships and 8 trophies of Kosovo Cup.
