As expected, Sigal Prishtina and Peja won in the semifinals of IPKO Cup Kosova and will play in the finals which will take place tomorrow.
In the first game of IPKO Cup semifinals, Sigal Prishtina has defeated Trepca 92:65. In this game, Trepca was “spent” in the first ten minutes, which ended with a result 25:24 in Mitrovica’s team favor. However, from there on basketball players of the Reigning Champion of Kosovo and the winner of IPKO Cup, played better and created a lead which in the end secured them a comfortable victory.
Peja had to do more work than Sigal Prishtina since it was playing against the host team of the final tournament, Golden Eagle Ylli.
The hall in Suhareka, once again was too small for all the spectators that wanted to watch the games.
The host team, even though created a 10 point lead in the first quarter, was not able to defeat Peja.
Led by Nic Wise, Peja played better for the next 30 minutes and won 95:66.
Peja and Sigal Prishtina will play tomorrow, at 20:15 in the finals of IPKO Cup, in Suhareka. “13 Qershori” Hall, in Suhareka will be the arena of the fourth confrontation of these two teams for this season.
In three games of the ETC Super League, Sigal Prishtina has two wins, whereas Peja has only one.
These two teams will meet one more time in the regular season, after that it is possible that they will meet in the finals of ETC Super League Play-Offs and finals of Balkan League Play-Offs.
Tomorrow, at 16:00h, will take place the final game of IPKO Cup in Women’s Competition. In this game, Prishtina will play against Golden Eagle Ylli.
In the first game of the season between the two teams, Sigal Prishtina won 82:63, but it’s hard to say whether the team from the capital city is the favorite team in the IPKO Cup finals.
