The first stage of the FECC (FIBA Europe Coaching Certificate) has started and is taking place in Kaunas, Lithuania, where will also take place the European Championship U16, Division A, in men’s league.
Kosovo coaches of youth categories, Dritero Sefaja, Edon Godeni and Petrit Zeqiri will have the opportunity to learn from renowned coaches such as: Svetislav Peshiç, Janis Drvariç, Brian Biagioli etc.
69 coaches from all over Europe are participating in this program, and Kosovo is the only country that has three coaches in this program thanks to FIBA Europe.
Coaches will have an intense schedule during their 10 day stay in Kaunas, since the program includes workshops, individual work with players, work on strength and conditioning as well as many other things related to basketball, which our coaches are looking forward to learn.
The cycle of this program is 2015-17 and afterwards the above mentioned coaches will have the opportunity to receive a certificate.
It should be noted that the coaches that will attend the FECC program, along the lectures during the European Championships U16 (2015), U18 (2016) and U20 (2017), will also have other tasks during work with their clubs.
