Few Kosovar players had a successful season with their colleges in the United States of America.
One of them is Etnik Peci, who is the key player of Essex Country College and recently was named as the player of the year at Garden State Conference Athletics.
In an interview for the KBF's official website, he spoke about his edition.
"This edition has been one of the most successful I've had in my career. We finished the season with 20 wins and seven losses. I managed to win with my team the trophy of the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC), where I was named Player of the Year and entered the GSAC best team.
My team also participated and won ‘Final-Four’ of Region 19, where I entered the best team of Region 19.
Winning this tournament has enabled us to be part of the "District Final Four". We won the semi-finals, where I scored 38 points and secured the place in the National Chartain Tournament. In the final game, I scored 24 points, but unfortunately, we lost.”
Peci has also been named Player of the Week twice during the regular season.
“I want to continue to improve every day and to play in the First Division. Of course, the biggest dream that I can't compare to anything else is to play for the Senior Kosovar National Team. I am looking forward to playing again for Kosovo ", added Etnik Peci, who previously played for Kosovar youth national teams.
