Peja lost their first game in Sigal Uniqa Balkan League.
On Thursday night, Peja was defeated by Tirana 76:73 (19:15, 14:35, 15:7, 28:16), in Group B of the Balkan League. KB Peja overcame a slow start and cut its first quarter 8-point deficit to lead by 50-33 at halftime. However, nothing was over for Tirana, who recorded a 7-0 run and trailed by 10 points for the most part of the third period. It all came down to the final 46 seconds, when the hosts regained their composure and tied the match at 73-73 on two free throws by Endrit Hysenagolli. The Kosovan team had no answer when Tirana took the lead on a triple by Griffin Ramme with 11 seconds to go as Mirza Ahmetbasic then missed a three-point shot and Tirana faithful celebrated in the stands.
Endrit Hysenagolli erupted for 22 points, ManuelJohnson scored 17, Griffin Ramme collected 16 and 5 assists, and Gerti Shima was one rebound shy of a double-double by 13 points and 9 boards for the winners.
Noah Dahlman responded with 20 points for KB Peja. Mirza Ahmetbasic followed with 19 points, and Alban Veseli added 11.
