On Tuesday night, Peja was defeated by Levski 2014 79:85 (18:17, 22:24, 17:28, 22:16), in the second phase of the Balkan League.
Both teams played an even first and second quarter, whereas in the third quarter the Bulgarians managed to create a 11 point lead (28:17). Peja got better in the final quarter but that wasn’t enough and they had to accept defeat.
It should be noted that this was Peja’s second loss in the Balkan League, after their defeat to Bashkimi.
Aleks Simeonov had a great game for the winners with 21 points 10 rebounds and 6 assists while Evgeni Hadzhirusev added 14 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
Drilon Hajrizi had a good game for the hosts finishing with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists as Kevin Burwell added 15 points .
Next week Levski will play against Sigal Prishtina, whereas Peja will host Kozuv.
