KK Kozuv took a very important win in round 5 of group D in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The team from Gevgelija hosted KB Peja and won 72-67 after playing good defense in the third quarter. Both teams fough very hard with the hosts taking a double-digit lead near the end. Peja though didn′t stop playing and almost made an incredible comeback. Kozuv finally held on for the win and it was important for the team that it was by 5 points which gives them the advantage in eventual tie with Peja. In the last round Kozuv will visit Levski 2014 and will qualify for the semifinals with a win. In the same time Peja will host Sigal Prishtina and will hope to win and Kozuv to lose which will take them through to the top 4.
Vladimir Brckov was the top scorer for the winners with 20 points while also adding 6 rebounds. Brandon Penn added 16 points and 7 rebounds while Aleksej Nesovic scored 15 points and had 7 steals.
Nenad Delic had double-double with 22 points and 15 rebounds for the visitors as Kevin Burwell added 19 points.
