Penti Prishtina defeated Penza from Peja 81:77 in Kosovo Cup Finals, women’s competition, that took place on Sunday, in “Minatori” hall, in Mitrovica.
Prishtina dominated in the first two quarters of the game, afterwards Penza recovered and both teams fought hard on the floor, but the girls from the capital city played better in the last moments of the game and managed to bring the cup to Prishtina.
The MVP of the finals was named the basketball player from Prishtina, Arbnore Perquku. The award was given to her by the Acting Secretary General of the Kosovo Basketball Federation, Elvira Dushku, and the medals were given by the board members, Valdet Spahija, Kimete Haliti and Learta Berisha.
The cup was awarded to the captain of the winning team, Arbnore Perquku by the Deputy Director of the Sport Department, Aferdita Fazlija.
Prishtina won this trophy for the ninth time since post war.
