On Saturday (19.07.2014), the Youth Summer Camp “Prishtina 2014” has ended with the final “All Star” match. This camp was organized by Kosovo Basketball Federation and it was supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport and by the Independent Organization of Sport Education in Kosovo.
Besides the All Star match, many challenging games for young basketball players were organized during this camp. All of the winners were rewarded with modest prizes. At the end of the camp, the organizers rewarded every participant with a certificate.
The Youth Summer Camp “Prishtina 2014” was led by the FIBA Instructor, a well-known Slovenian Coach Mr. Dejan Mihevc , while the coordinators of this activity were Jeton Nixha and Elvira Dushku.
Also 9 local coaches: Fikret Shatri, Pal Syla, Ilir Selmani, Fidan Shatri, Valbona Bytyqi, Arbnore Perquku, Arianit Morina, Vigan Bytyqi and Hekuran Husaj, worked with the children in this camp.
Dejan Mihevc is happy with the work done during the Youth Summer Camp “Prishtina 2014”, and he also stated that during the closing ceremony before all the participants. “I am very happy that I had the chance to work in this camp for a week, which was a new experience for all of us. From day one until the last day, for me as an instructor but also for the organizers of the camp, the most important thing was that the children had fun with basketball games and also learned new things, which they will practice in the future. I hope that Kosovo Basketball Federation will continue organizing such activities, because the youngsters are the future of every country. We worked hard and we gave our best starting from the coordinators, coaches and the children and for that reason I think that this camp has met our expectations and it was very successful”.
It’s worth mentioning that the participants had the opportunity to go to OESK “Fair Play” lectures, and also the OESK staff made sure that the kids will have fun during the camp.
Youth Summer Camp “Prishtine 2014” started on 12.07.2014 and ended on 19.07.2014, it was held at the Student Center in Prishtina, while drills were held in the premises of this Center, "1 Tetori" Hall and also at the sports hall of the Faculty of Sport Sciences.
The camp was supported by KBF, MCYS, OESK and also by the water company “Bonita” and sports company “Sporting”.
