On Tuesday night, Sigal Prishtina was defeated by Energia 87:72 (27:14, 18:14, 24:19, 18:25), in the first round of Group K of FIBA Europe Cup, in Targu Jiu, Romania.
The hosts were unstoppable from the third minute of the game, when they created a 5 point lead. In the eighth minute their lead went up by 15 points and in the 20th minute of the game the result was 45:28. After 25 minutes of the game the result was 60:32, thanks to the great performance of Anthony Miles, Lamont Mack and Porter Troupe. The guests played better in the fourth quarter but it was too late to do something more than decrease the lead of Energia (87:72).
Top scorers of BC Energia were Anthony Miles with 20 point, Porter Troupe with 18 points and Lamont Mack with 17 points. For Sigal Prishtina, the most efficient players were Khalid El-Amin with 20 points and Mohamed Abukar with 15 points.
Sigal Prishtina’s next game in FIBA Europe Cup will take place on November 4th, in Prishtina, against Astana from Kazakhstan.
Prishtina is part of Group K of FIBA Europe Cup, among Energia Targu-Jiu (Romania), Astana (Kazakhstan) and Petrolina AEK Larnaca (Cyprus).
This is the inaugural edition of the FIBA Europe Cup, where 56 clubs, divided into two conferences and 14 groups, will compete.
