Sigal Prishtina was very close to the first victory in the new season of FIBA Europe Cup, but in the end they failed to please their fans, as it was the team from Samokov, Bulgaria BC Rilski Sportist who triumphed in overtime 104:100 (31:16, 22:30, 20:24, 20:23, 11: 7), while the fourth period ended in a tie 93:93. This game belonged to round two of Group H of the FIBA Europe Cup.
Prishtina started bad and this is best proven by the result of the first 10 minutes of the game, where the guests scored 31 points, while the hosts scored only 16 points. But the roles changed in the second quarter and Sigal Pristina was the one dictating the tempo of the game. The first half ended in guest’s favor 53:46. In the second half the hosts continued to improve, while the third quarter ended with the result 73:70. As expected, in the final 10 minutes of the game there was a big fight on the floor, and they went to overtime, but the guests were more focused and also more patient and they managed to return to Bulgaria with a victory.
Top scorers from Sigal Prishtina were Bojan Trajkovski with 17 points, Malcolm Rhett added 16 and Edmond Azemi and Jabarie Hinds had 15 points each. For Rilski Sportist, Nenad Deliq scored 22 points and Simmons added 12.
In the next round of Group H, Enisey will host Sigal Prishtina, in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, on November 2nd.
