During the weekend, a two-day coaching seminar took place, at the “Univers” College, in Bardhosh, organized by the Coaches Association and Kosovo Basketball Federation, and with the support of FIBA Europe.
Lecturers at the seminar were Prof. Dr. Nenad Trunic from FIBA Europe and the American coach, Chris Dial, who is also the coordinator for youth categories at the KBF.
During the first day of the seminar, Chris Dial spoke about “Transition offense” and in the practice he lectured on “Basic exercises for youth categories”.
Whereas, in the second day of the seminar, Prof.Dr. Nenad Trunic has lectured on “Basic principles of practice planning during the pre season of a team", whereas in the practice part of the seminar he focused on “Situational exercises to speed up the tactical thinking of the basketball player”.
Arben Krasniqi, President of the Coaches Association, evaluated this seminar to be very fruitful. “I believe that during the two day seminar, we had the opportunity to listen to very interesting topics about basketball coaches. For us coaches, it is a great pleasure to listen to a great lecturer such as Nenad Trunic, who is one of the greatest lecturers of FIBA Europe. I hope that our coaches will use well the knowledge that they received during these two days.”
Prof. Dr. Nenad Trunic also advised the coaches to work hard, if they truly love this profession. “It is a great pleasure that FIBA Europe chose me to lecture at this seminar, in Kosovo. I will use this opportunity to congratulate you on your affiliation to FIBA and wish you a great success. “
Around 60 coaches of all categories attended the seminar.
The participation of the coaches was mandatory for receiving the license for the season 2015/2016.
