The round 9 games of the ETC Super League gave a high quality basketball performance, dramatic endings and opened all battle fronts in the league, leaving no undefeated team and no one’s place in the big four is safe.

Peja has defeated Sigal Prishtina. The reigning champion of Kosovo has not been at its best game for awhile now, but the loss against Kozuv and Peja proved that Sigal Prishtina started to show weakness in the result as well.

The game that took place in Karagac had everything that a basketball spectacle needs. Over 2500 spectators, who despite small problems behaved in a sporty way, tight results and an outcome that was decided in the last shot, phenomenal individual performance of the leaders and a drama that almost ended in tragedy.

Peja was the best team of the match. Very high efficiency in three-point attempts (13:29) and genius moments of Samir Shaptah were too much to handle for Dardan Berisha and company.

Berisha scored 36 points and in the final action, when the result was 87:86 he managed to steal the ball but there was no space for him to score and Muhamet Hasan tried to score for a three-pointer but he missed. Peja won by one point difference, this way “reviving” in the ETC Super League.

The victory of Vellaznimi against Trepca was not less important than Peja’s victory. With two wins and 6 losses out of 8 games, Vellaznimi’s game against Trepca was a “to be or not to be” challenge. They reacted excellent under pressure, while Trepca, who released the play maker Kendrick Brown, from the beginning was not on element.

An incident provoked by Fikret Hadzic’s physical attack towards Mario Hajdic, provoked the reaction of substitute players of both teams, even entering on field of some spectators, forcing the game to stop and to empty the hall. However, the game ended in a regular way and the players involved in the incident have received the deserved punishment according to Competition Propositions.

While Vellaznimi won its third game and raised the hopes for a higher place in the table, Kastrioti won its first game of the season and raised the hopes of surviving in the ETC Super League.

The team that had 8 losses out of 8 games, in the last night’s game has defeated Golden Eagle Ylli. The game had a very tight result and tension on both sides, but ended in a regular way. Kastrioti won 89:85.

Vincent Williams and Donald Lawes scored 51 points together, while Najee White with 24 points was once again Golden Eagle Ylli’s best player.

In the game that took place on Wednesday, as expected, Kosova e Re Bashkimi defeated Besa 69:83.
