Three Kosovo referees that have participated in Scania Camp in Sweden, had a successful performance, in what is considered to be the biggest camp for young referees in Europe.
Dardan Maxhuni, Elion Obertinca and Kushtrim Shala have attended the Scania Camp in Sweden with over hundred other referees, and they had the chance to work with FIBA’s and FIBA Europe instructors, led by Richard Stokes, Head of Competitions & Referee Department of FIBA Europe.
From over 100 referees that have attended the camp, Dardan Maxhuni was given the chance to officiate in the tournament finals (U16), while Elion Obertinca and Kushtrim Shala have officiated in the game for the third place.
This is the first time for Kosovo Basketball Federation to send young referees in Scania Camp. Kosovo Basketball Federation will continue to support the further advancement of young referees and will continue with the efforts to increase the number of qualitative referees, which can very soon get the title of international referees of FIBA.
