Sigal Prishtina has concluded their adventure in Group H of FIBA Europe Cup with a victory, after defeating the Russian team Enisay 87:80 (20:18, 21:17, 20:18, 26:17), on Wednesday night at the Youth and Sports Center. The game belonged to Round 6 of FIBA Europe Cup.
There was an equal fight on the floor from the beginning of the game until the fourth quarter, when Sigal Prishtina played better than their opponent and managed to defeat Enisey.
The top scorer from Sigal Prishtina was Andrew Lawrence with 24 points and 4 assists. For Enisey, Vladislav Trushkin scored 16 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists.
This was Prishtina’s only victory in Group H of FIBA Europe Cup, after being defeated 5 times in a row. Prishtina was defeated twice by Demir Insaat (Turkey), two times by Rilski Sportist (Bulgaria) and once by Enisey (Russia).
Prishtina’s adventure in FIBA Europe Cup has ended with this victory and now they will focus on the Kosovo Superleague and BIBL. On Saturday, Prishtina will host Peja in Round 9 of Kosovo Superleague and on Monday they will travel to Prizren to play against Bashkimi in the Balkan League.
Besides Sigal Prishtina, BC Peja has also competed in season 2016/17 of FIBA Europe Cup. They competed in Group G and had a record of one victory and five losses. Peja was also eliminated from FIBA Europe Cup and now will focus on the Kosovo Superleague and the Balkan League.
