Kosovo reigning champion, Sigal Prishtina has ended the first half of the season holding the first place on board.
In a total of 14 games, Sigal Prishtina has 13 wins and 1 loss, an equal result with Peja, however, Sigal Prishtina holds the first place on the board due to a better overall difference than its main rival.
Sigal Prishtina had a few changes in player’s composition and will start the spring season with a new coach. However, what was constant in the game is Dardan Berisha’s excellent game, which is also the main reason why Sigal Prishtina holds this balance after 14 rounds.
With nearly 30 points per game on average, Dardan Berisha secured the first place for Sigal Prishtina, but this team was not able to finish the season without any losses.
Sigal Prishtina’s biggest rival and the team that together with Sigal Prishtina is representing Kosovo in the Balkan League, BC Peja holds the same balance with Sigal Prishtina.
Sigal Prishtina defeated Peja in the second round, but afterwards Peja won 12 games in a row, which is a new record for the team that had many problems in player’s composition in the beginning of the season but got very stable in the final rounds.
Kosova e Re Bashkimi has ended the autumn season with the third place on board. The team from Prizren had a variety of tight results and difficult victories, but now holds the third place, which was the goal of Coach Miodrag Baletic.
Trepca holds the fourth place. Disappointed with the fact of not having the “Minatori” Hall at their disposal and having to play their games in Drenas, the team from Mitrovica had a series of good results until they let Kendrick Brown go. During the five final rounds, Trepca lost 4 games, but with a total of 7 wins and 7 losses, now they hold the fourth place.
Golden Eagle Ylli, a team which got back in the ETC Super League through the Wild Card, is now going after the fourth place. After defeating Trepca in the final round, Golden Eagle Ylli has 5 wins and 9 losses and warns that in spring the ambitions will continue to grow.
Golden Eagle Ylli is the only team that has played with only three international players and has never changed them.
Vellaznimi also ended the season with 5 wins and 9 losses. The team from Gjakova had big ambitions in the beginning of the season but turns out they did not have the players and assets necessary to make these ambitions come true. The club is expecting a reconsolidation, which will probably reflect in better results.
Besa with only 3 wins is the second last team on board. This team was facing financial and organizational problems from the beginning, but has achieved important victories against Kastrioti and Vellaznimi, this way avoiding the last place on board.
With only one win out of 14 games, Kastrioti holds the last place on board for the autumn season. The team from Ferizaj tried but could not create a team that would get better results and now they are waiting for a spring miracle to see if they can survive in the ETC Super League.
Spring season of the ETC Super League will begin on 17/18 January.
