Sigal Prishtina has traveled to Tivar with a clear mission to return with the trophy of the Balkan League and afterwards celebrate in the capital city with their fans “Plisa” and every basketball fan. However, in order for them to achieve this goal they shouldn’t lose by more than 14 point.
On Wednesday at 20:00h, Mornar will host Prishtina in the second final game of the Balkan League, while in the first one Prishtina defeated Mornar 82:68.
It is not over yet for Mornar, since they have one last chance to reduce Prishtina’s advantage, tomorrow in their home game. Mornar was in the same situation in the second semifinal game of BIBL against Kozuv. They have lost the first game by 15 points and in the second one before their own fans they’ve managed to win and go through to the finals. For this reason it is safe to say that the battle is still open and everything will be decided in the second game.
Antonis Constantinides head coach of BC Sigal Prishtina: “We are aware that with the first victory nothing has ended, that was only the first part, and now the second one awaits us in Tivar, where we are going with the main goal to win and bring the trophy to Prishtina. I am very optimistic that we will crown this season of the Balkan League with a big success. I am saying this because I believe in my players and the whole team.”
Dardan Berisha, basketball player of BC Sigal Prishtina: “Now everything starts from scratch, we won the first part of the final and the second one will take place in Tivar. It won’t be easy, because Mornar is not a team that gives up. They defeated us once and we defeated them twice but now we have to be really careful. I am very optimistic that if we play good defense and offense we will return with a trophy. In the first game the pressure was in our side and now it will be in theirs. However, we will play our game and will do our best to defend the title”.
