KB Sigal Prishtina recorded second straight win in group A of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The champions of the competition hosted KK Kozuv and won 88-60.

Sigal′s next match in the competition is at home against Mornar on November 19th, while Kozuv will host Beroe on November 10th.

It was a great start for Sigal as they scored the first ten points of the game. Kozuv though started to play better and by the end of the first quarter managed to take the lead, but the first half ended with the result 39:34 for Sigal Prishtina. In the second half, Sigal Prishtina started great and increased the lead slowly to finish the game with a 28 points lead.

Marjan Ilievski, head coach of BC Sigal Prishtina: “We started the match very well but unfortunately we allowed the opponent to score and recover.  However, after the half time break we started playing like in the beginning, and won by a great lead. I am very pleased with my players, because they did a great job.”

Boban Mitev, head coach of BC Kozuv: “I think that we lost the match in the first half after we allowed them to score three pointers easily, especially Dardan Berisha. At that moment we lost the game, and that’s why in the last quarter I decided to let young players play. However, Sigal Prishtina played better and deserved the victory. They are a great team, reigning champion of this league, and to play against them is never easy.”

Stanimir Marinov was the top scorer for the winners with 18 points. Alhaji Mohammed had 14 while Dardan Berisha returned in style with four triples in the first half and 12 points in total. The top performer for the visiting team was Brandon Penn with 25 points and 5 rebounds while Ratko Varda had 10 points.
