Kosovo Basketball Federation in cooperation with the Kosovo Olympic Committee and Coaches Association will organize an intensive course for coaches from February 24th until March 3rd.
The 10 day intensive course is supported by the Olympic Solidarity, the biggest foundation within the International Olympic Committee (IOC), for the development of sports in different countries of the world.
KBF is the first sports federation from Kosovo to win a grant from the Olympic Solidarity and in one of the most sensitive areas, that of increasing the capacity of coaches.
FIBA Instructor Tone Krump will lecture at the course that will take place at the ISP College, in Marigona Residence.
Coaches’ course will enable Kosovo coaches for the first time ever to receive certificates from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) signed by a FIBA expert, for a course that takes place in Kosovo. Coaches that will miss even one lecture will not be able to receive the above-mentioned certificates.
Arben Krasniqi, Head of Coaches Association: “31 coaches from Kosovo will attend the course. Discipline and absolute attendance are required since we will be monitored by the International Olympic Committee. The course will be basic and next year we hope to finally start the process of coaches licensing with professional criteria. The selected coaches will have the opportunity to learn and also to gain experience during the 10 day course. I hope that the coaches will use this opportunity wisely and implement in their clubs what they learn here.”
