President of FIBA Europe and Turkish Basketball Federation Mr. Turgay Demirel, met with the President of Kosovo Basketball Federation, Mr. Erolld Belegu.
President Belegu informed Mr. Demirel on the latest developments in terms of internationalization of sports of Kosovo and also on the latest developments of Kosovo basketball.
President Demirel confirmed that everyone in FIBA and FIBA Europe are familiar with IOC’s decision on accepting KOK and they are convinced that full recognition will be granted to Kosovo Olympic Committee in December, a move that would directly and strongly influence the relations of KBF with world’s house of basketball.
The achievement of three very important agreements made the meeting between Mr. Demirel and Mr. Belegu even more successful.
The first one is about the invitation of National Team’s young group of age players, on a tournament of the highest international level in Turkey.
The second agreement has to do with the organization of a joint camp for young basketball players, where coaches from USA and Turkey would work with Kosovo basketball players, while the third agreement also deals with technical support, more precisely with Turkish Federation assistance to Kosovo referee’s, through monitoring of their work in camps or clinics.
