Bashkimi’s basketball players on Thursday night were declared Kosovo champions for the 2017/18 edition.
The girls from Prizren have triumphed in the third final game against Penza in Peja with 77:50 score (30:10, 11: 8, 22:13, 14:19).
Bashkimi has dominated since the beginning of the match until the end of the duel with Penza and thus managed to win the title of the champion, for the first time since 2009/10 season.
The most distinguished in the team from Prizren were Khadija Brown with 29 points, Gresa Gashi with 13 and Anastasia Williams with 12. On the other hand, the most efficient at Penza was Jeta Zeka with 22 points.
BFK Secretary General Elvira Dushku handed the trophy to the captain of Bashkimi Gresa Gashi.
In this way, Bashkimi has interrupted the multi-year dominance of female basketball in Kosovo from Penza and Pristina.
