Kosovo National Team in basketball will gather in August. The preparations will be led by head coach Christos Marmarinos, with the main focus on the physical shape of the players, especially at this time when sports activities are suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
National Teams Director, Granit Rugova, gave more details about this gathering.
“This gathering aims to activate players after the suspension of sports activities, follow their physical shape, and prepare for the upcoming matches against Slovakia and Iceland within European pre-qualifications for the 2023 World Cup. We started this competition with two wins and we hope that we will continue with positive results in upcoming matches.”
Kosovo in the European pre-qualifications for the 2023 World Cup, defeated Iceland 80:78 at home and Luxembourg 80:84 as a guest.
