In the first game in Tirana, the Kosovo national team scored a victory over Albania with 8 points difference of 71:63. Kosovo started the game with the 10: 0 series and at the end of the first quarter had the lead of 9 points 23:14, thanks to the effective game, mainly in the trapeze, which is especially encouraging.
The second quarter was followed by intense game and after an incident between Mike Moser and Dardan Berisha, judges excluded Dardan Berisha from the match.
The decision of the judges, even though it was wrong, was respected by our team. Kosovo maintained the lead over the middle of the fourth quarter when this advantage fell to just one point and that twice.
However, Granit Rugova's five points, Erjon Kastrati's trio and six points for Leonard Mekaj in the final minutes enabled Kosovo to win the game, seemingly easy and smooth finish of the match.
Kosovo tomorrow hosts the second match with Albania at 19:00 in the gym Feti Borova. This will be the last friendly match for Kosovo before the start of qualifying for the 2019 World Cup, where Kosovo is in the group with Macedonia and Estonia.
