In a presence of about 2000 spectators, Sigal Prishtina basketball team triumphed on Wednesday evening at the “Sezai Surroi” court, in Prizren, against the basketball team of “Bashkimi” of Prizren, with the following result: 73:64 (17:13, 16:20, 14:11, and 26:20).

The most deserved for the victory of capital’s basketball team were Willie Kemp with 19 points, Mike Moser with 17 points and 7 rebounds, and Jabarie Hinds with 16 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists.

On the other hand, the most efficient players of orange jersey boys were Justin Black with 14 points, Kayel Locke with 13 points and 10 rebounds and Garrius Adams with 11 points.

The Basketball Federation of Kosovo member of the board Valdet Spahija and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Secretary General Veton Firzi presented the medals for the basketball team’s finalists.

Additionally, the head of Basketball Federation of Kosovo Erolld Belegu presented the cup to the Sigal Prishtina Captain Edmond Azemi.

In the play-off semifinal matches, Sigal Prishtina defeated Trepça in a series of 3:0, followed by “Bashkimi” of Prizren, which did the same against Peja.

In the final matches, “Bashkimi” started with a victory in the capital city, however Sigal Prishtina overthrew it, scoring three wins in a row, bringing the latter the championship title.

This is the 12th championship title for Sigal Prishtina in the postwar era and the fourth in a row, whilst this is the second final for “Bashkimi” of Prizren, which unfortunately was not able to be crowned with any of the postwar titles.
