On Sunday in Pristina was completed the International Tournament U15 "Prishtina 2018" in the framework of the project for the New Generation of FIBA Europe.
In this tournament that started on 6 and finished on April 8th, Kosovo, Macedonia, Bulgaria and Romania participated, and each day there were two games, each team meeting each other.
Kosovo U15 kicked off the tournament by scoring a victory against Romania's, but was later beaten by Bulgaria and finally in Macedonia. In fact, Macedonia has been the only team that has not registered any losses, while Bulgaria has been the one that has been defeated only by Macedonia, Romania lost all three games and Kosovo has scored a victory.
This tournament was also the latest event within the FIBA Europe's New Generation Development project, a project led by Turkey's Basketball Federation, and implemented by the four above-mentioned states.
Within this project were organized national camps, international camps, coaches visits to Turkey, various tours, and now is the end of the project and its evasion by the managers of four federations, and this happened in Pristina on the last day of the tournament.
This meeting was led by the project manager of the Turkish Basketball Federation, Yagiz Kaba and the project leader at FIBA Europe, Elisabeth Cebrian and Elvira Dushku, Secretary General of BFK.
The meeting was held at the Basketball Federation of Kosovo, while the International Tournament "Prishtina 2018" was held at the "ISP" College's sports gym in "Marigona Residence" neighborhood.
All the participants of the tournament were very pleased with the organization of the tournament and the meeting by the Kosovo Basketball Federation, while the KBF also received praised from FIBA Europe for the intensive work it is doing for the younger generations in both competitions.
It should be noted that after the evaluation of the project, the five countries, namely Turkey, Kosovo, Macedonia, Bulgaria and Romania in June will start another two-year project for generations 2004/05, but this time the project will be for both competitions, women and men.
