One of the Kosovar basketball players who play in the USA is Dea Pushkolli.
The talented basketball player from Kosovo has joined the FIBA campaign #FIbaBAsket, answering questions about how she is spending her time in the Covid-19 pandemic, how much she misses basketball, the first game in the US and her message.
“I can’t wait to get back there. I’m not sure how my first basket will be, but every basket, every assist, every steal will feel great once we get back. I tried to stay as active as I could and get better every day. I had access to a small gym and weight room. I did a lot of bodyweight exercises.
I love this game so much and I miss everything about it. I miss road trips, pre-games, the feeling when you score or make a play for your teammates… even when you’re in a tie game.
I still haven’t played professionally yet, but I will never forget my first basket in the US where first I made a steal and then went for a lay-up. Stay safe and we will be back soon.”
