Board of the Kosovo Basketball Federation (KBF), after observing the latest developments of COVID-19 pandemic, today unanimously decided to cancel the competitions in the Kosovo Super League and Women's Super League for the 2019/20 edition and in this case, the champions of these two competitions will not be announced.
The KBF Board will continue to monitor developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic and will decide in April whether to continue with other KBF competitions.
Regarding the modalities of other competitions, the Basketball Federation of Kosovo will inform the public in the meantime after consultations on the local and international levels.
The KBF Board has been forced to make such a decision because of the spread of the COVID - 19 pandemic, where the number of infected in our country has increased enormously last few days.
For the KBF Board, the health of basketball players, staff, fans and all those who contribute to the development of KBF competitions is in the first place.
The Decision shall enter into force on 31.03.2020.
