The Basketball Federation of Kosovo and the Albanian Basketball Federation are in the middle of preparations for the inauguration of the Joint League, which is expected to start in September this year.
The technical teams of both federations directed by the General Secretaries, today have completed the preparations of the draft documents necessary for the creation and implementation of the Joint League, Kosovo-Albania.

"We have prepared all the documents, of course in the form of drafts, as they must first get the green light from the presidents and executive boards of both federations.
We had very good cooperation with the technical team of the Albanian Basketball Federation led by the Secretary General, Korab Llazani and I can say that the implementation of this league seems to have motivated us a lot, but also we have thrilled, given the fact that there has been a lot of talk about this league in recent years.
After the completion of the voting procedures of the documents by the Executive Boards of both Federations, we will be ready to continue with the signing of the agreement which would give the final stamp to the establishment of the league.
The Kosovo-Albania Joint League has aroused great interest not only in Kosovo and Albania, but also beyond, as several other Balkan countries have already begun to show their interest in creating joint leagues between the two or three countries, and this is in favor of basketball."
