The Board of the Basketball Federation of Kosovo has formed a Working Group, which will begin work on drafting the KBF Strategic Plan 2021-2025.
The Working Group will be supervised by KBF’s President Arben Fetahu and will be led by the Secretary General, Elvira Dushku. Working Group will include all KBF stakeholders, while FIBA will also be part of this very important process.
The Working Group will begin in May, and the entire strategic planning process will last until the end of the year. The KBF’s strategic plan 2021-2025 will be presented on the next assembly, which is scheduled for early 2021.
Arben Fetahu, President of KBF:
"Kosovo Basketball Federation in recent years has experienced rapid development in terms of leadership, management, and its internal organization and all this is thanks to the work and maximum commitment of all its organizational structures.
In addition to the annual plans with which FBK has developed its activity within a year, the Board of FBK at the end of 2019 has approved 5 very important documents, which will be a guide in our work in approving the strategic plan of the BFK. These five documents which have recently been approved by the KBF Assembly are:
- The doctrine of learning and training of the basketball game in Kosovo;
- Basic characteristics of modern basketball and its development trends
- Program and initial organizational points for the establishment of the National Basketball Center of KBF;
- Children of Kosovo and fun basketball with some elements of Mini-Basketball ".
Therefore, at the point where the Basketball Federation of Kosovo is now, a longer-term plan of the organization is necessary.
Creating a Strategic Plan is a very important part of any organization, which seeks to develop and grow. This plan will help prepare a realistic vision for the future of the Federation. By preparing the Strategic Plan, we can increase our potential for the development and growth of the federation.”
